How many times can I file for a Leave of Absence (LOA)? How long can my LOA last?

There is no set upper limit to how many times you can file for a LOA, but the maximum number of times you can file for an LOA is determined by your Maximum Residency Requirement (MRR) and how far you are into your program.

You can file for a LOA every term for at most two consecutive years, after which you need to enroll in courses or for Residency if you want remain in the program.

If you file for a LOA, make sure you review your Plan of Study and keep within your MRR.
