Do I need to ask for permission to file for a Leave of Absence?

You don't need to ask for permission from the Program Chair or your FICs before filing for a Leave of Absence (LOA).

However, if you are currently enrolled in courses and need to file for a LOA before the term is done, let your FIC know that you intend to go on leave.
