How do I enroll in courses offered by another Faculty of Study?

If you want to take courses from another Faculty of Study, you need to seek permission from your PC and the PC of the course you want to take. Kindly follow the process outlined below:

  • Confirm that the course you want to take will actually be offered during the term you have in mind. Check the academic calendar.
  • File a ticket with the subject "Permission to use FEd course [COURSE NO. (COURSE TITLE)] as AADDA ELECTIVE CONCENTRATION COURSE for [TERM]"
    • For example: "Permission to use FEd course HUM 40 (Tools and Methods in Digital Humanities) as AADDA ELECTIVE CONCENTRATION COURSE for 2024-1T"
  • In the body of the ticket, include all relevant information such as your student number and your most updated Plan of Study.
    • Note that your student number should be formatted as: YEAR-NUMBER, i.e., 2000-12345
    • Your most updated POS should have no errors.
  • Wait for the AADDA PC's approval. Your request may take 3-5 business days to process, at the minimum. This all depends on whether you start the approval process and if you submit the requirements correctly. For this reason, start the approval process early. Once you have confirmed the schedule of course offerings for an upcoming term, you may send in your request.
  • Once you have the AADDA PC's approval, request permission from the AA PC to register for the course by emailing them (aa-program-chair@upou.edu.ph) with a screenshot of the AADDA PC's approval attached to your email request. Please do not forget to cc aaddaprogramsupport@upou.edu.ph in your email.
  • Once the AA PC has given you permission to take HUM 40, fill out the request form, so we can expedite the verification process and alert the OUR that you have been permitted to take the course.
  • Register for the course.
  • After you have successfully completed the course and received a passing grade, mark the course as PASSED in your Planner app-generated POS.
